On March 9th 1915 the 1/20th London Regiment under the command of Col. A. B. Hubback set sail from Southampton. The destination was the French port of Le Harve. During this trip, the men of the 20th were transported on 4 ships for the overnight journey. The “Viper”, the “Queen Alexandria”, the “Duchess of Agyll” and “Trafford Hall” were all used.
